To take advantage of this week’s weather patterns, the Night Sounds Walk has been moved to this Saturday night from 7:30 to 9:30.
If you’ve never participated in one of our Night Sounds Walks, you’re missing out on an incredible experience. Led by Tinicum Conservancy’s own wildlife ecologist Jeff Keller, we’ll learn about the fascinating night-time behavior of our local wildlife while walking a beautiful preserved property in Tinicum.
Right now, long-distance migrants like Baltimore orioles and prairie warblers are beginning to return to the area, so we may hear them announcing their presence as dusk approaches. Foxes are busy hunting for their new kits, barking as they move about their territories, and tree frogs are just beginning to sing, with the occasional green frog joining in. Peepers and toads are also joining the chorus, especially when it rains or when the humidity and temperatures are right.
And there’s so much more!
