When the sap starts flowing, it’s time to head over to the “Sugar Shack” on Headquarters Road to learn about the fascinating process of making maple syrup. For years, local farmer Craig Schneiderwind has overseen the operation at this 124-acre Tinicum farm, which was preserved by the Tinicum Conservancy in 2005. Craig will explain the process from start to finish, offer some hands-on opportunities, and, of course, lots of syrup tastings. This event is great fun for the kids!
